into your XMAP database.

How to upload files

To upload your files:

  1. Open XMAP in your browser and log in as administrator.
  2. Access the admin panel by clicking on the Cog icon, situated in the top-right of the XMAP window.
  3. Click the option 'Data' from the left-hand menu.
  4. Select 'File Upload' from the left-hand menu. This option will be located underneath the 'Data' option.
  5. Set the database and schema where you want to upload the data to (if applicable).
  6. Drag and drop your file into the XMAP browser window and press 'Upload'. This will upload your data to your XMAP account's database.

IMPORTANT:

If you are updating/overwriting an existing layer in your XMAP account with a new file version of it, rename the SHP/TAB file with the current layer_id name. e.g XMAP layerid = grass_cutting, rename the SHP/TAB to grass_cutting

FAQ:

Q.  Can I set the table name of the data being uploaded?
A. The only way to set the table name is by renaming the file being uploaded to the name you want it to appear in the database. Note, that the database table name can be different to the layer name as displayed in XMAP.
