Copying features (points, lines, polygons) between layers
Summary:
Within XMAP, you can copy a selected feature into any layer that you have editing permissions, emoving the need to digitise the feature manually.
You can only copy features between layers where the geometry types (point, line, or polygon) are the same.
Example: You can copy a selected Land Registry Cadastral Parcel into any polygon layer that you have permissions to edit.
How to copy features:
Select the feature you want to copy. In the attribute panel, click the Copy to another layer icon.
Select the layer from the dropdown that you want to paste the feature into. The feature will be pasted into that layer. Update any attribute information, then click Save.
The Select a layer dropdown shows only layers you can edit and that have the same geometry type (point, line, or polygon) as the copied feature.
