Buffer Tool
OVERVIEW
The buffer tool allows users to buffer points, lines and polygons by a given distance in Meters, Kilometers, Yards, Feet and Miles. Once a feature has been buffer it can be saved to a users annotations layer or with layer permissions set, to a layer within XMAP.
REQUIREMENTS
The buffer tool needs to be assigned to a Profile as a Tool via the Admin Panel.
Admin>>Profile>>CHOOSE PROFILE >> Tools and enable Buffer Tool >> SAVE.
USAGE
Click on a feature on the map, above the feature attributes click on the Buffer Tool icon to create a buffer.
Set the distance and measurement units required. The map will automatically update with changes to either distance or units.
Check Save Buffer to save the layer to your annotation layer or to a layer that you have permissions to edit within XMAP.
